Hola! Soy Beto vivo en La Paz, Baja California Sur, México. Mi familia y ancestros nacieron aqui. Conozco muy bien la historia, cultura y tradición de Baja California Sur. Trabajo en la promoción de la salud pública, doy platicas a grupos poblacionales sobre diferentes temas de salud en una institución gubernamental. También práctico taekwondo y me gusta ir al gimnasio y los fines de semana me gusta pasear en mi bicicleta por la ciudad. Amo ir a los museos y me gusta mucho dar explicación sobre nuestra historia. Mis ancestros eran indígenas Pericús, el pueblo que habitó esta zona de la península y que se extinguieron hace casi 200 años. Te puedo platicar esa historia. Me gusta el senderismo y conozco lugares donde no van ni si quiera los grupos de senderistas turísticos y pocos o ningún local. También estoy orgulloso de conocer nuestra gastronomía del pueblo de Sudcalifornia.
En la época de diciembre-abril voy muy poco al mar, como buen local jaja, porque el agua está fría, pero si me gusta ir a sentarme a platicar y ver el atardecer o si quieres meterte al mar te acompaño a cuidar tus cosas jaja. De mayo a noviembre el agua es más agradable y me gusta meterme, no soy muy hábil nadando, así que si te ofreces a enseñarme a nadar te lo agradezco mucho 😀, me gustaría mucho perder el miedo a nadar donde no toco 🙈
Si eres un Couchsurfer que le interesa conocer y contactar con la comunidad local de CS puedes escribirme con total libertad! :) Cada mes hago una reunión mensual de couchsurfing y nos reunimos de 15-25 en promedio y puedes ver los eventos publicados en la sección Eventos en La Paz Baja California Sur.
En noviembre del 2024, tuve el honor de organizar junto con otros hosts locales, la XII Reunion Nacional Couchsurfing México con sede aquí en La Paz. Estuvieron presentes 320 Couchsurfers de todo México y de otros países.

Hello! I'm Beto, and I live in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. My family and ancestors were born here. I'm very familiar with the history, culture, and traditions of Baja California Sur. I work in public health promotion and give talks to community groups on various health topics at a government institution. I also practice taekwondo and enjoy going to the gym. On weekends, I enjoy riding my bike around the city. I love going to local museums and explaining our history. My ancestors were indigenous Pericús, the people who inhabited this area of ​​the peninsula and who became extinct almost 200 years ago. I can tell you that story. I like hiking and know places where not even tourist hiking groups and few, if any, locals go. I'm also proud to know the cuisine of the people of Baja California Sur. Between December and April, I rarely go to the sea, like any good local, haha, because the water is cold. Me gusta crear comunidad y mantener relaciones sanas con las personas en base a la asertividad y la buena comunicación. Me gusta hospedar porque siento que así el mundo viene a mi y me gusta conocer culturas y otras formas de pensar. Además también me gusta viajar y llevar al mundo la cultura de mi región y de mi país. Tengo experiencia en hospedar y en alojarme. I organized and was the main organizer of the 12th National Couchsurfing Meeting Mexico in my city La Paz, Baja California Sur, from November 15-18, 2024, where nearly 350 couchsurfers from Mexico, abroad, and locals from my city participated.
