I'm a freelance writer/editor/fill-in-the-blank. I used to teach high school, went back and finished my master's in literature, then began work as a freelancer. I recently left my hometown of 27 years (Eureka, CA) and moved to Charleston, SC to see more of the country and spend some time with my brother. I sold all my furniture, loaded up my truck, and made an epic road trip out of it. I had my first Couchsurfing experiences on that trip -- all of my hosts were wonderful!
