About Me
Hey there! I'm Beytullah Yıldız, a Turkish student currently living in Poland as part of my Erasmus exchange. I'm studying English Language Teaching, so I love connecting with people from different cultures and sharing stories (and jokes, lots of jokes).
I'm an easygoing, curious, and respectful guest who’s always up for good conversation, exploring hidden corners of a city, or just chilling with locals over coffee or tea. Travel for me is not just about ticking places off a list – it’s about meeting great people and making memories.
If you're open to hosting, sharing some tips, or just grabbing a drink, I’d love to meet up. Let’s swap stories and laugh at how small the world really is!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here because I believe the best way to experience a place is through its people. Hotels can’t tell you the real story of a city — locals can. I want to meet open-minded, kind souls from around the world, share cultures, make memories, and maybe even build friendships that last longer than just a trip.
Also… let’s be honest, I’m a student on a budget — Couchsurfing makes traveling possible, meaningful, and a lot more fun!
Interests
I’m into books that make you think, movies that stay with you, and music that hits the soul. I love traveling, discovering new places, and getting lost in the streets (intentionally, of course). I play tennis when I can, and I’m dangerously competitive in 8 Ball — you’ve been warned!
Most of all, I enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories, and learning from different perspectives. Every person is a new world, and I’m here to explore as many as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is all over the place — from chill indie vibes to Turkish classics, and sometimes I dive into deep emotional stuff that makes me question my life at 2 AM. If it hits the heart, I’m in.
Movies? I love anything with a strong story. From deep dramas to mind-blowing thrillers — and of course, the occasional stupid comedy to reset my brain.
Books are my escape and my teacher. I enjoy novels that make me think, reflect, or just take me on a wild adventure. Got a recommendation? I’m all ears.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done was deciding to go on Erasmus — leaving my comfort zone, coming to Poland, and starting a journey full of unknowns. It taught me more than any classroom ever could.
Also, watching the sunset from a random hill in a foreign country with people I’d just met — no plan, no expectations, just vibes. That’s the kind of magic I live for.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Turkish words, phrases, or even how to swear like a local (only if you insist)! Since I study English Language Teaching, I can also help you with English if you’re learning.
I’m always open to learning — whether it’s a new recipe, a local tradition, or just a fun fact about your city. I believe everyone has something unique to share.
What I love most is sharing good vibes, laughs, deep talks, and maybe even a homemade Turkish coffee if we get the chance!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good vibes, deep talks, and a lot of laughs — that’s a guarantee. I’m clean, respectful, and easy to get along with. I can cook some simple Turkish dishes (or at least try!), share stories from my culture, and always bring positive energy to the table.
If you're trying to learn Turkish or practice English, I’d be happy to help. I’m not just looking for a place to sleep — I’m here to connect, share, and make the experience great for both of us.
