Hello! My name is Bhupendra Pratap Singh. I’m a curious soul who believes that travel is one of the best teachers in life. I enjoy exploring new cities through long walks, local food, conversations with people, heritage lanes, and nature trails rather than rushing through tourist checklists.

Photography is not just a hobby for me—it’s a way of observing the world. I mainly focus on nature and birdwatching photography, street life, portraits, cultural events, and everyday human stories. I regularly organize and participate in photo walks (mostly on weekends) and enjoy documenting places in an honest, grounded way. Academically, I come from a social work and research background. I am deeply interested in society, culture, inequality, sustainability, mental health, and community life. I run a YouTube channel where I create educational podcasts, research-based discussions, interviews with scholars, and nature/birdwatching content. Learning something new every day genuinely excites me.

As a person, I’m calm, respectful, observant, and thoughtful. I value clean shared spaces, clear communication, and mutual respect. I enjoy meaningful conversations, but I’m equally comfortable with silence. I love trying local food and understanding the stories behind it.

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is more meaningful when it’s rooted in human connection, not just accommodation. For me, Couchsurfing is about meeting people, exchanging stories, learning from different perspectives, and experiencing a city through the eyes of those who live there.

As a traveller, photographer, and researcher, I’m naturally curious about people, cultures, everyday life, and local narratives. Couchsurfing allows me to go beyond tourist spaces and understand the social, cultural, and emotional fabric of a place. A shared walk, a meal, or a conversation often teaches more than guidebooks ever could.

I also enjoy giving back to the community—whether through respectful companionship, sharing photography skills, helping with creative work, or simply being a good listener. I value trust, openness, and mutual respect, which aligns strongly with the spirit of Couchsurfing.

For me, Couchsurfing is not just about staying somewhere; it’s about belonging briefly, learning deeply, and leaving with gratitude.

One of the most amazing things I’ve done is combining my love for nature, learning, and storytelling through birdwatching and photography. What started as quiet morning walks slowly became a deeper practice of observation—waking up early, waiting patiently, identifying birds, understanding their behaviour, and documenting them through photographs and short videos.

Birdwatching taught me patience, presence, and humility. Standing still in silence while nature unfolds is a powerful experience, especially in fast-moving cities. Over time, I began sharing these moments through my platforms, helping others notice and appreciate urban biodiversity and the importance of coexisting with nature.

Alongside this, I’ve also built platforms where I document travel, cultural events, educational podcasts, and research conversations, blending creativity with social awareness. Being able to connect people with ideas—whether through a bird’s call, a photograph, or a conversation—feels deeply meaningful to me.

For me, the amazing part isn’t just what I’ve done, but how curiosity and consistency turned into a way of life.
