Overview
About Me
I have been teaching in South Korea for a while and am off on an adventure across South East Asia, before settling in Taiwan. I have a love of the arts and music, I try to create wherever I go. I enjoy cooking and being in nature. Maybe all people essentially love all that I have listed here. So I guess I am trying to be more active in my pursuit of these things I love so much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope to meet interesting people, experience different cultures and travel in a more real way. I hope to make friends around this blue planet :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorites are so tough, no? I hate being classified in general, hahahha, but here goes, I guess I will list favorites from teenhood, when favorites were essential to my identity.
Favorite book: "Catch 22"and I'm not sure if it's a favorite but I recently loved "wolf of wolf hall". Right now I'm reading book 2 of a fantasy series "The banned and the banished" and I am in it :)
Favorite movie: Lawn Dogs
Favorite Music: Tori Amos ... forever
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have lived alone in a cabin in a South African wood for a year, planting over 500 indigenous trees alone, then in 2 days a further 1000 trees with a group of around 100 people. The cabin had no electricity or hot water or phone line, and I loved it. On days I wasn't planting, I ring-barked Australian invasive trees (blackwood, blackwattle). When I next go look at the land, I hope it will be an indigenous forest :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to offer basic drawing sessions or I can organise a group drawing session, I enjoy cooking a variety of foods from around the world. I am an English teacher and am happy to help. Teaching about herbs, soil and permaculture (I would be so happy to help in a garden).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to help in whatever project you have going ! I can share stories of travel and misadventure, my love of music (and maybe a few singalongs), some Asian cooking, a lot of good laughs. I have a passion for figuring out sustainable solutions to problems especially in rural settings. My degree means I can offer some body wisdom especially post injury :)
