ABOUT ME

I was born in Lima and moved to the DC suburbs at the ripe age of four. For years I went through all the routine motions, until my wanderlust finally got the best of me. Since then, I've been galavanting the world, in search of adventure and eccentrics, and currently find myself working in Peru. I am mildly obsessed with blood types, vintage novels (and their telling inscriptions)and above all maps of all kinds. I often think that I should have been born a cartographer in the sixteenth century. I thrive in the mountains and hope to spend stints of my life scaling them in Huaraz & throughout the southern Andes. I could live off of any combination of fish and rice for the rest of my life (in particular som tam with sticky rice), and despite an ulcer have an addiction to coffee and all things spicy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted but once in Ollanta (unfortunately I move so often, that hosting has been a near impossibility) & the experience was truly wonderful. I hope that via couchsurfing I continue to meet phenomenal, inspiring individuals from about the globe.

Books: Throughout my life, I have briefly been obsessed with Bradbury, Salinger, Kundera & Murakami. Also, the graphic novels of Daniel Clowes & Adrian Tomine.

Movies: A top five is quite a feat to amass, and is certainly & perpetually in motion. My top five today (29/4/15): Breathless, Orfeo Negro, Y Tu Mama también, In the Mood for Love & Death Proof
