Hi, I'm Bia! 💛💚

I'm passionate about mountains and trekking - traveling is currently the top priority in my life. My goal is to know as many places in the world as I can.

I'm always accompanied by my boyfriend Victor, whom I've been together with since 2014. His BeWelcome profile is /members/victor.pietro

"Moxileira" is a portuguese word (it's actually Mochileira - with 'ch') for a backpacker woman. I've chosen this name because I love to mainly travel carrying a single backpack.

Me and Victor also shared our professional lives - we own a web development agency and are currently trying to conciliate the projects with the trips that we do, that's why we bring our notebook and usually have to work while traveling (we're never on vacations). I am a front end developer and he is a back end developer and do all the rest of client-related stuff.

We would love to improve our English and Spanish skills with natives! :) Victor has also started learning French, but know a mere few words so far.

I am into minimalism and estoicism and always try to put both on practice.

OBS: I only have a few references because we usually make trips that we only stay for 1 or 2 nights at the same city and everything is kind of rushed, so we're used to Airbnb or Booking. But ever since we have been to some hostel in Europe and loved to meet new people, hear stories and do a great cultural exchange, we want to try Couchsurfing more. Also, we're budget travelers, so there's that as well.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- Our 25 days backpack trip to Europe in 2023

- Our 32 days backpack trip to Patagonia in 2022 with a friend

- Our 3 weeks road trip in California in 2018 (the most memorable one). This was the one that triggered our passion about traveling.

- Experiencing snow for the first time with my mom in 2019 (Chile)

- Couchsurfing for the first time (by ourselves) in Canada in early 2024, and meeting amazing people (Lisa, Maude and Yannick)!

- Gone on a 4th of July party with Eric and his very nice friends in Texas and some river swimming as well.

- Spent a few days with a Brazilian couple that lives in Fort Worth. We were invited after Milton watched my reels about Texas, then we got to spend great times with them.

- Spending some days with Victor's family in Tennessee on July 2024. We went to Nashville and Gatlinburg (Great Smoky Mountains NP) - it was all amazing!

- Getting to know our client Ben and his family in North Carolina. We have worked for him since 2022 and, since we were in TN, we managed to go see him, and it was sooo amazing!

- Seeing my best friends getting engaged on our trip to Chapada dos Veadeiros, in Brazil (September 2024).

- Producing olive oil on a volunteering experience (Worldpackers) in Arcos de la Frontera, Spain (October 2024).

- Going to the tiny town that Pietro's great-grandfather was born (November 2024) - Polopos, Granada, Spain.

- Starting a trip in Morocco and ending it in Switzerland (October and November 2024) - how random?

We can offer a good, joyful and respectful company. *We are specially good listeners!*

If you like, Victor can show off his "incredible" cooking skills and offer some guacamole or pasta - we're honestly that really good of chefs but well, there's love in it! I can do some meat strogonoff with rice, which is not Brazilian (I think is Russian), but it is very popular in Brazil. We can also cook Brigadeiro, a delicious Brazilian sweet.

We love listening to stories and experiences! And also sharing some of ours. I'll be honest, we're a bit shy and sometimes that shows up, but I promise you we're always doing our best.
