I used to work mainly in the NGOs, doing cultural projects. Currently I am employed in the grantmaking program (area: combating discrimination) of the Batory Foundation. I like travelling (I am ethnographer and spent some time doing my research in Russia, Lithuania and Belarus). I also like reading interesting books, biking and swimming. In 2005 I lived 5 months in Sweden as Erasmus student.
I am doing my PhD (in anthropology) about the Jewish Autonoumous Region in Russia and identity of Russian Jews. I am interested in local heritage and non-mainstrem tourism. I love meeting new friends. I am vegetarian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2010 me and my boyfriend decided to go to Israel. We were looking for places to sleep, as we traveled a lot across the country. We tried CS and met wonderful people who hosted us. This was very positive experience.
