ABOUT ME

We love to travel, meet people & hear different opinions & stories. We are tolerant & friendly and well- behaved! We want to experience as much of the world as we can, and are currently on a round - the -world ticket, spent 3 months in the USA, 6 in New Zealand & are now in S E Asia for 3 months. We are both creative & into the arts (art, craft, photography, writing & theatre / film), but also practical. We enjoy the outdoors and exploring new areas - urban & wild. We relish hiking / walking, & Steve cycles. We want to try it all!

PHILOSOPHY

Humanist. I believe that most people are good and mean well. I look for the good in everyone.
Life should be grabbed with both hands & lived to the fullest, whilst not hurting anyone else.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have provided digs for actors for years whilst our children were growing up, and loved hosting people. Now we are throwing ourselves upon the generosity of others for a while, until we are settled again......

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Beginners, really, in CS. Our 1st surf was with the amazing Bob Tilley in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which was fantastic. Perfect experience. We have been house - sitting pretty continuously since then, but are likely to do some more in the Far East. And when we finally settle down again, we will be delighted to become hosts.....before we started travelling we used to provide digs for actors which was fun.

Thunderstorm over the North Rim of the Grand Canyon...Flying over the Fox Glacier & Mount Cook in a helicopter....Feeding manta rays in the Maldives....Seeing the Northern Lights put on a show over the Welsh borders....Saving someone from drowning when we lived on a narrowboat in London....

I am happy to share any knowledge that I have. I am currently having fun making Mexican 'God's Eyes' - they look like pretty little kites made out of wood & yarn. I have made all sorts of things in my time, from glass bowls to theatre costumes, painted boxes to jewellery. I would love to learn about other experiences and ways of living. A few practical things too! I have an open mind.
