I love giving advice to visitors about my city. Unfortunately it is not possible to host anyone now because we are renovating our house...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only tried the couchsurfing thing once, while traveling in Canada. The guy who hosted my sister and me was super friendly, so I had a good experience.
At the moment I'm using the couchsurfing network mostly for touristic advice from locals.
