About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To become more self sufficient and open minded to all aspects of life
ABOUT ME
I've always been a bit of a thinker. I've been told by so many people that I'm too laid back and don't stick to anything for long enough. Somehow this has always come across as a negative remark but recently I've started to realise its probably one of my best characteristics.
I tend to lose myself in thoughts of living a more simple life outside of the City, even in a different country (usually New Zealand). I think the draw of a life as part of a small but close community of family and friends all living off the land constantly pulls me away from settling down in this country.
Saying that I've managed to carve out quite a nice little niche in the City. I'm currently living with my lovely girlfriend 'Lizzie' and we share a house with three of my best friends. There is a great atmosphere at home, we all cook for each other and share interests in the same areas (Music, Art, philosophy, Gastronomy).
We all have either travelled or are about to travel. I personally, have been a guitar technician for several touring musicians and have done shows in most of Europe. Still, I always enjoy coming home and spending a night in with my house mates, chatting the night away over some home brew Cider or Beer after a nice hearty meal.
I'm very much interested in Self Sufficiency. All be it very hard to accomplish in the middle of Manchester but none the less I strive for a more hole-istic approach overall. This outlook tends to be the main reason I would like to live in the countryside.
I'm not a religious man and don't conform toward any stereotypical Dogma. This isn't saying I'm not a spiritual person though. I Don't currently believe organised religion is the future and lean more toward a higher state of conciousness as the way forward. I will get along with anyone regardless of their faith and am always open to opinion as long as it isn't to preachy.
PHILOSOPHY
It doesn't matter which path you take, just follow your nose..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My house mate Ryan has had lots of experience travelling as a couch surfer and has told me of many positive experiences he has gained meeting fellow couch surfers.
A nice lad from Canada once came to stay with him at his old house whilst I was around. We went to a local pub and enjoyed a night of drinking. I remember a great conversation about Pies!
