ABOUT ME

I currently live in the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon. I like to travel a lot and have been moving every couple of years since I graduated college. I want to be a special ed teacher and work in a city that really needs my help. I am learning all about how life is much better for me on a plant- based whole foods diet. I enjoy learning about different cultures and music. I really love to meet new people, have a beer, and have a great time. Dancing is fun too.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had the opportunity to couchsurf throughout Eastern Europe and it was an amazing experience! I love the philosophy of couchsurfing and I'm hoping to get more involved!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was really lucky to have met a great friend who introduced me to CouchSurfing on our backpacking trip. I have to admit. At first, I was a little skeptical. The first girl I stayed with, Derya from Istanbul, was amazingly generous, kind, and real. She had notes all over her fridge from thankful couchsurfers. She inspired me to join. (It just took this long) Since then, I have been staying on a lot of couches in my travels and opening up my home to travelers.

dancing to balkan music, bluegrass, and pretty much anything good. lots of yoga. learning about and cooking healthy food. microbrews. traveling stories. laughing. learning about north korea. reading in bed. teaching special ed kids. hiking mountains. biking around the city. having fun!

Right now I'm reading Creative Visualization about manifesting your desires through positive thought. I'm pretty eclectic with books but always reading something.

I love documentaries and indie romances where nothing much happens.
