ABOUT ME

My 11 year old son, Julian, and I love to travel! We are both quite social--since he was a toddler, Julian was able to make friends in the grocery line up. I'm a very positive person and always search for the bright side of things.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is supposed to be fun! When you get serious about being happy, you realize that your purpose in life is to experience joy.

Interests

I have been a yoga and fitness instructor for 22 years and I love it! (I'm happy to give stretching tips to whomever we stay with.) I film yoga classes in beautiful locations all over North America...this is why we travel a lot. Julian is a master Lego builder and ninja-in-training :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled through 68% of the states in the US...Utah is my favorite!
While posing for a yoga picture on a tree branch 5 feet off the ground at Yosemite Park, a wild deer came right up to me and checked me out for a minute. He wasn't aggressive, just curious why a crazy human would be on a branch. I could have touched him, he was that close!Earlier in the same summer, I was on Assateague Island, Maryland, where the wild ponies roam free. You're not supposed to approach them because they "are wild creatures who will bite or kick". For 2 days, I couldn't get anywhere near them. Then on the last day, I was driving out of the campground when I saw 2 ponies grazing by the road. I pulled over, got out of the car, and sat down 20 feet in front of them. Sure enough, one pony walked right next to me, and the other one sauntered up and "lipped" my hand. No danger at all. I was on Cloud 9 for the rest of the day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a teacher to the core of my being...I've been teaching fitness and yoga for 22 years. I love sharing my passion with others, so I don't mind it when people ask me how to stretch this, or strengthen that. It happens all the time and I'm very happy to help people out. Julian can show you cool ninja moves and kick your butt in chess.
