ABOUT ME

Halfway though with my "Referendariat" (traineeship for teachers in Germany) and having lived in Lower Franconia, Bavaria all my live, I want to travel and see the world before it is to late.

I'd describe myself as a little chaotic, though reliable, spontanios, uncomplicated and I never let people down.As a student I had been working as a "Tutor" (which has nothing to do with tutoring in the sense of giving lessons) at my dorm for more than 4 years, which involved helping international students get along in Germany, organizing parties or trying to mediate whenever there was a fight between neighbors or roomates.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to drink bad wine, embrace the things that make you happy and let go of those that don't.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm living in a one room apartment - where I do have an extra mattress if you desperately need a place to crash in a small village in the beautiful uplands called Rhön - but as I'm being reassigned every 6 month, it might soon be possible that I'll have a spare couch in Nuremberg, Munich etc.

This is my first own account, so right now, I have none

Interests

- American TV-Shows (like Chuck, Californication, How I Met Your Mother, Dexter etc.)
- Sports (Watching German Fußball Bundesliga or American NBA ... and I used to go running a lot when my knee was still ok...and I play Volleyball)
- Single Matl Whisky (especially Talisker and Islay Whiskies..but I won't spurn a good highland Malt)
- Rapping I used to be in a rap band when I started studying. It was fun but I only had a talent for funny rhymes, not for deep and meaningful lyrics. I tried, though, but when my partner who started the band left the city, I neglected that hobby. I'm planning to pick up my mic again as soon as I'm through with my final exams, though (June 12)
- Computergames (racing games such as Need 4 Speed, 3rd person shooters like half life, role playing games like Gothic, KOTOR or Skyrim etc.)
- Music - all kinds of music.... I'm not so much into electronical music and I prefer dancing with a partner over dancing individually but none of this means that you can't take me to a club ;-). Music has been and will be there for me in any situation of my live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Spain, summer of 2003 we were on a boat from tossa del mar to Lloret. The sun was burning hot but the wind on the boat made the situation bearable. My Diskman played a song I liked and I was having a smoke while lying on the upper Deck.
- Summer 2008 Würzburg. I was standing in front of a crowd with a microphone, rapping my own lyrics. There were like 100 or 200 people and they all seemed to like it.
