About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live it Up Live it Up, no you can't go on forever.

ABOUT ME

Since graduating in 2007 I've been on a mission to travel, fourtnately, for me the profession of relief teaching is the perfect job. For now I have abandoned a life of routine, which allows the opportunity to be free flowing. I also tend to avoid responsibility, it's not that I'm irresponsible, its just that I prefer my list of commitments to be a small one at the moment, makes picking up and going easy:) I enjoy meeting new people, seeing new things, and tasting new flavors. I welcome the opportunity to learn, as well as share if someone is interested in listening. I lend my ears often to people of older ages and take to heart what they say about regrets they have. I then try to live me life in a way that I will avoid having the same regrets when I'm older. It's amazing to see how many people have the same regrets. I'm blunt, and more than likely will tell you what I'm thinking. Sometimes my bluntness gets me in to trouble, but many people after they get to know me will tell you it's one of the things they enjoy about my company.

PHILOSOPHY

Accountability! Each One Teach One. In the great words of Ben Harper...My choice is what I choose to do,
And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you.
Your choice is who you choose to be, And if you're causin' no harm, then you're alright with me. The best investment is in yourself, only after you have invested in yourself, are you able to invest in others and for others to be able to invest in you.
Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and
lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only been a surfer up to this point. However, one day when I have my own permanent place of residence I look forward to opening my doors to enjoy the hosting side of things. I'm very keen to start enjoying the more social side of couchsurfing, and getting to know other surfers who are a part of my community through social functions.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only surfed. I've had nothing but great experiences thus far. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to host because I have not stayed in one place very long since joining. Being that it is, it is very difficult to offer up a "couch" for other surfers if you yourself are unsure where your couch will be.

Interests

Getting out! I hate being stagnant, and will look for any excuse to be out doing something. Rugby, backpacking, coaching, traveling, concerts are just a few of the activities I like to be out participating in. I love beer, and not in the sense of drinking it just because. Coming from the northwest and microbrew roots, I enjoy sampling different beers for their unique flavors and

Music, Movies, and Books

Shawshank Redemption, favorite movie of all time! When it comes to music I will listen to just about anything other than hard metal. As far as some of my favorites... DMB, The Beautiful Girls, Jack Johnson, Groundation, Kanye West, Sublime just to name a few. Reading is an area I need to and want to improve in, I just would much rather be out experiencing through action then be in a book. However, with that said I do acknowledge the power of reading, and am actively working on reading more. A Million Little Pieces, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Tuedays with Morrie (everyone should read this book)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Inca Trail. I have to say that Machu Picchu is the most amazing thing I've seen up to this point in my life. It will be hard to top.

Countries I’ve Visited

Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
