Seeing new places and meeting new people and having fun, it's what I do.

ABOUT ME

In the past year I've lived on three separate continents, which has been awesome. I went to school in San Diego because I love the beach, surfing, etc. I majored in Chemistry because I'm a science nerd (though you wouldn't guess it, normally).

Currently I'm coaching a high school rowing team in Sale, Australia. It's awesome.

PHILOSOPHY

Live, laugh, learn.

The greatest risk is not taking one.

Live to regret the things you have done and not the things you haven't.

Be a hero because someone has to be.

When someone asks you why, ask them why not? When they give you a good answer, do it anyways because it's more fun that way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting people everywhere I go. I also love seeing a place as the locals see it, not like a tourist. Rather than have to search all over for the great places, it's nice to have someone who can tell you right where they are. Likewise, when someone comes to visit me, I like to show them all the cool places that I know; good food, good beaches, cool places to watch the sunset, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Aside from just with friends, not much. I've spent time couch surfing with friends (this summer I had a month between when my lease ended and when I left for Italy, so I just crashed with various friends. I got a place to sleep and they got my awesome cooking nd charming personality).

Interests

I like a lot of stuff. Reading, writing (poems, shorts stories, dialogues, cataloging my adventures, etc), rowing, volleyball, soccer, surfing, going to the beach, dancing, having lots of fun, and doing anything that's exciting.

Books: give me a good story and some depth.

Movies: either just entertain me or have meaning.
(Little Miss Sunshine, Shrek 2, Kanal, Breathless, Pan's Labyrinth, etc.)

Music: anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunsets over the ocean. Sleeping under the stars. Life's got so many little things that are amazing and no one rally pays attention to.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything in the water. Science. How to enjoy life. How to have fun in a small town. Cooking, yoga, dancing.

Those who can't do, teach.
