CURRENT MISSION

I intend to cross the United States from coast to coast solo on my bicycle. My objective is to transport a vial of sand from the beach at Kennedy Space Center to the beach at Vandenberg AFB in CA.

ABOUT ME

I have dreamed about crossing the U.S. on a bicycle and when I reached the age of 55 I decided that if I don't do it now I won't be able to do it after I'm all used up from helping my employers make their dream come true.

I have no retirement saved up nor am I independently wealthy but I'll be darned if I'm going to be denied my retirement after all the hard work I've done in the past.

I'll still be working hard but this time it's for me.

I consider myself to be creative and I'm always looking for new challenges for my brain. (video games just aren't doing it anymore)

PHILOSOPHY

Expect nothing. Accept everything. Give what I can. Try to be an example of and inspire others to follow their dream and find happiness.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being new to CS I'll be learning all the different ways I might contribute to the CS Project. I maybe running out of time but I'm not running out of ideas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no CouchSurfing experiences at this time but I hope to change all that in the near future.

Intereses

Photography (cross-eye 3d), Making fun videos,running a website of my own, meeting interesting people, learning new things and seeing places I've only heard about. NASCAR racing. NASA and space exploration. Good food!

Next I hope to learn more about Geocaching and do some treasure hunting during my travels.

I will be doing more camping than I'm used to but look forward to the experience.

Living near Kennedy Space Center I have learned plenty about the space shuttle, rockets and spacecraft. I have experience in graphic arts, printing, book binding and machinery. I like making cross-eye 3D photos and photography in general, film or digital. I enjoy writing about my adventures and hope to inspire and educate others through my journey. I also hope to learn news way of accomplishing my goals.
