Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

To break from the mundane and experience the exceptional

ABOUT ME

I'm a rock climbing, trail running, slacklining, backpacking, tree hugging, vegetarian sell out with an insatiable wanderlust.

PHILOSOPHY

“I am losing precious days. I am degenerating into a machine for making money. I am learning nothing in this trivial world of men. I must break away and get out into the mountains to learn the news”
― John Muir

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spent the Summer of 2014 traveling through the Wild, Wild West. Had my first real Couchsurfing experience in Boulder, Colorado, which remains one of my favorite places on Earth. The experience showed me how opening your home to a stranger and engaging with them on a human level can be such a beautiful thing. Since then, I've hosted a few people myself without having any regrets. All in all, I'm learning that perhaps I'm not quite as misanthropic as I once though.

Intereses

Rock climbing, trail running, backpacking, and any and all things immersed in nature. In the mountains is where I truly feel at home.

Algo increíble que he hecho

June, 2014. The beginning of my great solo westward Odyssey and my first time going West of Chicago. After driving through cornfields for 2 1/2 days straight with nothing but corn and windmills in sight, I arrived in Boulder, CO. After spending a year dreaming of mountains without having ever truly seen one before, seeing the edge of the Rockies poke over the horizon was just... so surreal. Climbing to the first summit of the Flatirons, the feel of rock beneath my feet, feeling so small yet so large at the same time, nothing can beat that feeling.
