About Me
Hi!
I'm a friendly , outgoing Australian who is looking to meet some amazing people from around the world.
In June 2016 I packed up and left Australia. Down to just my back pack and passport, I headed out on a solo trip to explore some more of the world. Since then, my travels have been more then amazing, eye opening in every way. I'm still on the road, so the adventures continue :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Over the years I've met a lot of couchsurfers and hosts both in Australia and when travelling overseas. All speak really highly of their experiences and the opportunities it's provided them with.
I love the idea and am keen to get involved !
Interests
I've always been passionate about the environment, human rights, forced migration and the treatment of refugees.
In late 2016, I lived on the Greek island of Chios. For nearly 5 months I was coordinating a shore response rescue team and was also working with in the refugee camps that exist there. The time spent doing this work was incredibly hard and challenging, but I made some of the most fantastic friendships and the experience will stay with me forever. So much so that I plan to return to Greece soon to continue the work. In the meantime I'm continuing to learn arabic and am looking to complete a master degree in international social work so that amongst the various corrupt NGOs and authorities, hopefully professionally I can make a further difference.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I grew up in the Blue Mountains NSW, where my parents were lovers of everything outdoorsy - including hiking, climbing, camping, swimming, bike riding, horse riding, canyoning etc. I have a wealth of knowledge about the bush and am not afraid to get my hands dirty. This also extended out to a love of travelling both in Australia and overseas, so I have some great stories and experiences to share.
