Hi! My name is Billie and I'm a 20 year old girl from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I absolutely love traveling and i have a gap year now in which i plan to do as much traveling as possible. I plan on studying History at the University of Amsterdam next year. I start traveling on March 15 until the end of August 2019. I plan on going to the US, Brazil, Australia, Indonesia and New Zealand. I love sharing stories with fellow travelers and learning a new way of living from hosts and locals. I've always felt a strong connection with nature and especially the ocean. I love swimming in bright blue waters and enjoying the sun.

I have a very versatile taste in music. I love Guns n' Roses to The Red Hot Chili Peppers to Twenty One Pilots. 80s and 90s music is a standard in my Spotify lists! I also love Mac Miller and Post Malone. In terms of films, The Breakfast Club is definitely my favorite movie. I'm not the biggest horror fan and I enjoy franchises like Harry Potter or the Marvel movies. I love reading and also enjoy poetry.

In 2014 I made a trip to western USA and that was an amazing trip. I went to a lot of parks and saw the most amazing nature. This trip changed my life and made me appreciate nature more. That's why i dedicated my gap year to traveling and exploring.

I love cooking and sharing new recipes! The Italian cuisine is my favorite. I could share some recipes and Dutch culture characteristics with hosts and other travelers!
I also enjoy gardening in spring/summer, sunflowers are my favorite.
