ABOUT ME

I mumble a lot, although surprisingly well spoken when you can hear me. I'm a vegan veterinary nurse so looove animals. trustworthy, I like to think I'm always there for my friends when they need me. can be messy but never dirty and keep my mess to my own room. I hate bad hugs. can be quite shy at first but usually come out of my shell fairly quickly. have a quirky family so can deal with the crazies.

try to love yourself, don't cause any harm to others (human or non human), try to see the best in people, respects others beliefs and feelings

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host as we have strict rules but am up for hanging out and day trips. I know most of the veggie restaurants and always like an excuse to visit them. Also always up for tourist stuff, especially museums, gigs and nights out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

not much experience yet, have had 1 surfer when I lived on my narrowboat, met a surfer passing through London, who is still a very good friend and has hosted me when I visited the states. Travelled around the USA for a few months at a time in 2014/2015 and surfed the west coast a little. Met some amazing people who've have remained friends, had a fab time and plan on surfing more in the future.

Interests

its my passion to work with animals, especially primates although i don't have much experience in that field yet.
in day to day life i love movies, live music, local history (museums etc), anything animal related and a good night out.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Life is beautiful, Princess mononoke (and most other studio ghibli stuff), leon, the boondock saints, charlie chaplin.
Music - Punk (NoFX, The Offspring, RATM, Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys), Folk (Lindisfarne, Dougie Maclean, Woody Guthrie, show of hands), antifolk (Moldy peaches, Kimya dawson, andrew jackson jihad), golden oldies (ABBA, rolling stones, Ian dury, the beatles, iron maiden), ska (madness, the specials, jimmy cliff, less than jake, farse). theres much more but i'm bored now.
Books - The green mile (stephen king), ape house (sara gruen), The curious incident of the dog in the night-time (mark haddon), timoleon vieta come home (dan rhodes), Game Of thrones (george r r martin), sandman slim novels (richard kadrey)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

saved a strangers life by performing cpr after he had a heart attack in a local park

What I Can Share with Hosts

Free veterinary nurse exams and advice on any pets! But seriously, love a good natter (that means chat in case you don't speak common) and I've travelled a lot and love to share my experiences with others and to hear about other peoples lives.
