I consider myself the quintessential Canadian. I am an adventurous, fun (I think?), polite, and relaxed 23-year-old (24 in one month!). I grew up on beautiful Manitoulin Island where I hope to someday return. For now, my heart is in British Columbia.

I have lived in British Columbia (Vancouver Island and Vancouver) for the past five years where I have enjoyed camping, surfing, hiking, snowboarding, fishing, and of course, school. I work in forestry there, and have had opportunities to see some of the most remote parts of the province.

I'm currently backpacking Europe, frequently returning to Lille, France where my girlfriend is teaching English. This summer, after traveling, we will both be returning to Vancouver.

I enjoy meeting new people and I'm looking forward to the opportunities that might come from this new initiative!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been doing the hostel thing for the last few months and I haven't found the experience to be intimate enough. I want to to travel to get to know people from around the world. I want to meet locals, not more Americans (sorry!). My girlfriend and I have recently been using AirBnb and have been having amazing experiences, so I want to try the CouchSurfing thing as well. I'm hoping to have unique experiences and perhaps share a positive experience to others as well!
