ABOUT ME

Living and working in Bethnal Green with two other boys, plus one. We dance a lot, sometimes try to learn songs of the internet and occasionally cook huge brunches.

PHILOSOPHY

Not imposing a personal philosophy on anyone else. I believe in tolerance, common sense, avoiding using extreme anecdotal evidence to prove a point, anti-conspiracy theories and the remarkable ability of human beings to amaze and disgust in equal measure. Oh, and the remarkable ability of West Ham to instill immense hope despite never actually winning anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Always positive and rewarding. I have made close friends out of couch surfing and had some great trips and adventures. When couchsurfers come to stay it almost feels as much of a holiday as when I go to stay with them.

Interests

Rome, Greece, Comics, museums, spaghetti westerns, West Ham, cooking, movie's by the cohen brothers or that feature Steve Buscemi, short stories, poetry, 90's alt and 70's country music, bikes, cheese and red wine.

I couldn't possibly make a short-list in such a small box, but it is definitely a good list, and one that needs lots adding to it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a really strong passion for ancient history and the classics, in particular 5th century Greece but really any period before the 5th century AD or so. But then again, I am interested in many different areas of the Arts; history, anthropology, theology and philosophy and so on.
I would love to learn a language properly, for example Spanish, Italian, German or Latin. Couch surfing is definitely a good way of working out which ones to go for.
I am always interested in someone who has a deep interest in any subject, and I love hearing someone passionately explain something I have no knowledge about.
