ABOUT ME

This box used to say "I don't have much to say at the moment," but what it really should say is, "I have way too much to say at the moment, and I can't feasibly record it all here and now." Life has been moving very quickly. I enjoy every moment I have. What an exciting world we live in!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been participating mostly as a host for other Couch Surfers. I enjoy hearing stories and seeing photos from my guests' journeys. Now I am learning to take advantage of the time I have and get out and explore.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about Couch Surfing a long time ago. I've had people sleep on my couch, and I've slept on others' couches for years as part of intercollegiate sailing. I used to tour with several drum corps, and I also got used to sleeping on buses and gym floors with little to no privacy for several summers. I think Couch Surfing is a fantastic way to get around and meet people. I am trying to make traveling a priority.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to drum corps and participate in Spirit of JSU (now Spirit of Atlanta), Corps Vets, and Phantom Regiment. This competitive, high-performance, musical activity has taken me all over the United States and taught and exposed me to a myriad of things.

It has been over 10 years since I started the drum corps activity, and I'm amazed at what the young people in the activity now are capable of.

I'm pretty darn good at untying knots. I could teach you a trick or two aside from the obvious solution of cutting it. If you'd like to sail, I can possibly arrange that, too!

I brew beer! And I love to teach other how to brew beer. Also, I have any number of other hidden talents. My musical instrument collection is vast: Tuba, trombone, flugle horn, french horn, marimba. Okay, maybe not that vast. I enjoy sailing and taking people sailing, but sometimes time and weather don't work out in our favor.

I've found that couch surfers are typically open to deep and meaningful conversations about life. I'm not too shy to have these conversations.
