Kia Ora

I think I'm am an all rounder... da man in fact. I pretty domesticated, and I'm clean... that's gotta be a plus! I'm a dive instructor and I love the outdoors, in fact I live & breathe diving... and I love to have to fun. I think I'm shy but the kids disagree. I'm sitting here thinking.... and man, the random thoughts aren't coming fast. I've learnt random thoughts can get me in trouble. But I'm pretty kool if I say so myself... oh yeah and modest too.

My work commitments can take me away on dive trips... so can't host when not in aucks, but if you're up for a dive or wanna see the beautiful sites of NZ you're welcome to tag along too.

PHILOSOPHY

...enjoy life to the fullest. For every brick wall you encounter you'll go two steps backward and one step forward but for evey two steps you take backwords you should take four steps forward and then keep on going!

...cos life is full of stumbling blocks and if you stumble and stay down you will never achieve.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not sure yet, just new to this site, but I like the concept of the international community and extending my sense of community. Am open to sussing it out more.

Mate, I'm a real freshie (translation for you non kiwi's... I'm real new to this, just arrived!)

Interests

Diving, diving and more diving... oh yeah and fishing too. Boating features too. Hmm, sports... all sports, including netball, indoor cricket, basketball, rugby & league, hockey... and the rest. Oh yeah and cooking!!! Movies, music and books feature too.
I enjoy most things in life.... AND I enjoy meeting new & interesting people, different cultures including eating their kai (food). I forgot underwater photography.... and there's room for more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love martial art movies, sci-fi fantasy, of course documentaries - anything to do with outdoors, oceans, diving....

movies... I'm ecclectic. Lord of the Rings is my favourite!! I'm a fan of the movies too. Oh yeah, Transformers too.

Music... ecclectic interests there too. Reggae... hey, I'm proud... NZ & Maori sounds and the old-styles motown rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I dived with killer whales & dolphins, I have national titles in softball, hockey, martial arts, kapa haka (Maori performing arts). I have beautiful children and one gorgeous mokopuna (grandson).

Teach, Learn, Share

lots of things, umm where to start.... diving, boating, first aid, fishing, dancing, Maori, tikanga, carving, singing & guitar, oh yeah and da haka (right from the beginnning ...authentic man!)... oh man, and I can cook a mean crayfish... I could teach you how to do the same.
