I live on the "Edge of Nowhere" with fairly close access to Death Valley, Big Dune, Ash Meadows and about 100 NW of Las Vegas.

I'm a beader, love to read, have 3 cats and a number of feral cats that eat me out of house and home.

I belong to the "Nye. County Sheriffs Auxiliary, serving papers, watching our neighborhood & checking houses for people on vacation.
I also trap feral cats and take them in to be "spayed and neutered".
I'm active in town politics which sometimes isn't much fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting people from all over and have had a wonderful experience with everyone who has surfed with me.
On young lady stayed with me for over one month and had a wonderful experience with her and we are still in touch.
Surfers usually cook for me and most of them are "vegetarians" I'm a conniver or may omnivorous.

Live on 5 acres with a pistachio farm next to me.

Interests

I've traveled to 3rd world countries all over the world building houses with "Habitat for Humanity".
The last build was in "Myanmar" and our group was the very first "Habitat" group to go there. We built "bamboo houses, which was a first for most of us. Many of us have overlapped in other countries that I've built in. Unfortunately "Covid" has not been able to build most of 2020 and now into 2021. I usually try and stay after the builds to travel and see different parts of each country I've gone to. A wonderful organization that gives
"A hand up not a handout".

Music, Movies, and Books

Probably oldies but goodies and country western.

Like lots of different movies but not the ones that are very visually violent, you can have a murder and not show all the blood and guts.
