ABOUT ME

I am a strong woman with a clear sense of who I am, but an unclear sense of what the heck I want to do.
I've had a rough 10 years since graduating from high school, allowing me to grow spiritually and find a great appreciation for just life. I have had some outrageous health issues from which I will be recovering in the next 11 months. For this reason I am looking for a room of my own (much like Virginia Wolf but for meditation mainly).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will cook. I don't drink or smoke, except very rare special occasions. I have been a nanny, so I can kid-sit and clean. I'm cautious about my 'footprint' on other people's lives and especially on the environment. I've been known to make music before.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfed among friends but never through this site. I've traveled to central Montana on many occasions to go fly fishing and hiking in the mountains. I went to Ames, Iowa once. I've traveled in Nicaragua for a total of 7 weeks, mostly in Leon. I lived and worked on a farm in Vermont for three years and loved it! I traveled to New Hampshire and Main briefly. I grew up camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, my parents worked at the Voyager Outward Bound School until I was 12. I love living off the land, but cannot do it for the winter in Duluth!

兴趣

I love cooking and sharing food. I have farming experience and have a lot of experience with animals. I write everyday about whatever I'm thinking about, though I do not have much formal writing education (I'd love guidance if you have any). I'm beginning to study Zen Buddhism as my physical activities (mountain biking, hiking, swimming) have been put on hold.

Though I'm often unwilling to spend 2 hours invested in someone else's story by watching a movie, I have loved some good films. Most recently watched 'You Will Be Enlightened'(shown to me by a professor but I cannot find it anywhere!). In fact, if you like good films I would love to watch with you!
I read often, mostly self-improvement stuff which I ought to put down because I'm pretty sure that it interferes with my actual doing of life, where I could improve only if I started living... hmm.

I want to learn howto write well. I can teach about food, diet, cooking, baking (regular and gluten-free). I know a little about bikes, and would love to work on a flywheel bicycle if someone knows more! It would be fun to explore meditation and yoga with someone.
