ABOUT ME

I always feel awkward talking about myself...I'm pretty relaxed, and confident that things will work out. I feel this need to experience as many different things as I can, even the unpleasant ones. What we need more in this world is empathy, and the deepest empathy comes from being in somebody else's spot. I currently aspire to own a flower shop. I really enjoy learning about what other people are passionate about. I'm pretty flexible, and am down to give you a good time, whether you want to go dancing, see some alligators, or watch movies in our backyard while you stay in Gainesville. Lately we've been projecting Planet Earth on our shed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel, I always try to couchsurf, as I've had good experiences in the past. Also, I just moved into a house with lots of extra space, so I'm more than happy to host people on either or couch or up in the loft.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in and out of the country, and always had a fun and enriching time. My housemate and I have also hosted couchsurfers here in Gainesville.

Interests

I love listening to music and playing my piano. Lately I've gotten really into the idea of opening a flower shop, so I'm learning how to arrange flowers. My house is actually a primary interest of mine, as this is the first time I've been able to mold my surroundings and create a place I'm really happy in, with incredible neighbors. I love reading, learning, exploring, and trying new things. I try to stay open to all opportunities.

Directors: Pedro Almodovar, Guy Ritchie, Quentin Tarentino, Alfred Hitchcock. I also love Wayne's World, Lord of the Rings, any film noir, and quirky movies about dysfunctional families.

Music: Jazz..I'm currently really into Medeski, Martin, and Wood. Also Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Flaming Lips, Franz Ferdinand, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beethoven, Grieg, Debussy, Gershwin

Books: Shoot. Anything, classy or trashy.
