About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Risk is the tariff paid to leave the shores of predictable misery. The best fruit is not on the trunk of a tree; it’s on the limb

ABOUT ME

Native of New England, got a soft spot for this area- an irrational love of it. Lived in Spain for about a decade (also loved it) and traveled through Asia for a year (ehm, loving it too). Finally back in the Northeast, at least until my travel bug starts biting again. :)

PHILOSOPHY

When in trouble, when in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just got my own apartment in Boston with a roommate who I want to convince to try it out! We are 2 miles from Harvard University (Boston area) and are in Watertown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experience- outrageously awesome. Japan Dec, 2010. A friend was a couch surfer who was staying with a delightful guy at Mount Fuji and i was invited along. This host redefines hospitality- unparalleled kindness and generosity. Totally unnecessary but he took us to several places to photograph Mt. Fuji, a beautiful park, a sake manufacturer, and finally at the house we made a really fun dinner of okonomiyaki (japanese pizza). Seriously, he's the sweetest man who ever lived!

Interests

Love running, have done marathons, skiing, trekking... discovering new places, history, really love to cook, i'm a pretty good baker (except bread), reading, learning and music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been on the Nile, Amazon, Mekong, Mediterranean, Yellow River, Seine, Rhine and Mississippi. Been hiking/skiing to the Pyrenees, Alps, Rockies, Himalayas, Andes and our beautiful Berkshires in Western MA, USA. I've seen the Pyramids, Angkor Wat, Great Wall, Machu Pichu, and Alhambra. And I finally made it to a safari in South Africa. Such a great experience
