Hello! My name is Bjarke Levin Madsen. I'm 23 years old and I normally live in Copenhagen - but this semester I am studying at University of Wisconsin La Crosse. I am studying Business Administration and communication. In my spare time I like to workout, run, play at my acoustic guitar and listen to my dad's old vinyl records while I read a book. I enjoy hanging out with my friends in Copenhagen and I consider myself as a positive, smiling, quiet and friendly human being. I also love to travel and experience new places - and therefore I have now opened a profile here at Couch Surfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a young student I love to meet new people and experience cultures different from where I come from. I enjoy my stay here in Wisconsin so much and the people I've met so far has been really nice and friendly. Many of my friends have been Couch Surfing for a long time and they have had many great and unique experiences. Therefore I'm looking forward to start my experience in Couch Surfing.

Interests

As stated before my main interests are sports such as soccer and running. I play acoustic guitar and I love listening to records. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and meeting new interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

A lot of Indie-rock and folk.
Chill acoustic guitar. Drinking a cold beer while listening to Simon and Garfunkel is also a combination i like.
My favorite movie is Into the Wild by Sean Penn. I like chick-flicks, action movies and Batman. I like to read but often it ends up being schoolbooks instead of my own books which I think is a bit sad. At the moment I've found the time to read Ken Follet who is an excellent writer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once played a rock concert at a place for young mentally handicapped persons. The crowd was amazing and everyone were so positive and happy. No one was skeptical of the music. That was a great experience an in general I love making a difference for people with disabilities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe that I can share a lot of different things. But first of all a positive danish attitude and a smiling face. Secondly, I can offer good and interesting conversations and fx talk about the cultural differences between Denmark and USA.
