ABOUT ME

After taking (leaping at!) voluntary redundancy from working as a senior gardener in a 40 acre historic garden in 2011 I travelled to Morocco and around Europe, Helpxing most of the way, with some couchsurfing in between. In April 2013 I walked the 1000km Camino de Santiago from France to the west coast of Spain and really feel it has changed me.....you have to do it to experience the feeling!

I'm friendly, reliable, easygoing, a good sense of humour and love listening to other peoples life experiences.

I'm back in Newcastle after returning from France...hoping to get a job for a few months and some money saved before going on another adventure!

I've couchsurfed a few times in Morocco and Spain, and have met a load of great people who are also couchsurfers

I love a wide range of music, watching gigs, going to festivals and play drums in a Newcastle band (called blackflower if you're interested!)

I also love the outdoors, walking and exploring a region and its people, history, nature and local beers....

Life is amazing, but standing above the clouds in the Pyrenees in the freezing dusk was 'canny'.....also standing at the top of a sand dune in the Moroccan desert and starting to rain......very 'canny'.....and of course the whole 6 weeks of the Camino de Santiago...
