ABOUT ME

I'm an introvert, a day dreamer, a space cadet, a chronic procrastinator, a slacker, an absent minded professor in the making, an occasional isolationist, a nostalgic, a critic, an old man in spirit, a wide-eyed child, an advocate of individual expression, a believer of subjective existence, an idealist and a cynic all at once, an appreciator of eccentricities, a critic of capitalism, a geek, a hippie, a punk, a dork, an artist, a nerd, and all that jazz.

PHILOSOPHY

Politically, I lean on the Left. I'm strongly anti-authoritarian and believe in equality. Most real life applications of Socialism have been heavily authoritarian therefore I've found that anarchist strains of socialism (Anarcho-socialism or Anarcho-syndicalism or social libertarianism) sort of encompasses most of what I believe in. I'm a cynic because I don't trust institutionalized governments and an idealist because I think people can get a long without them. Anarchy is order. Maybe.

I'm spiritual but not religious. I say that because I think life would be just boring if we're reduced to merely nothing more than probability... but organized religions are a form of authority and often hierarchical. I believe in a subjective and individual form of spirituality. It's good for one's mental health, I think.

兴趣

I enjoy leisurely reading (when I can find the time), learning, the simple things in life, the smell of brewing coffee, going with the flow, taking walks around town, not taking myself too seriously, playing vidjamagames (video games), comic books, counter and alternative cultures, dry humour, browsing the interwebs, music, movies, art, and most artistic outlets. The arts in general are a big part of my life. Films are particularly important. I wish I was a filmmaker.
