Hi ! I'm a 24 years old student, coming from a very small country named Belgium. I love my country (we have the best chocolate in the world), but I also love discovering other cultures and landscapes, which is why I've already lived in three other different countries !
After graduating from high school, I spent a year in the USA (Spokane, WA) as a Rotary exchange student. Then I studied a Bachelor's degree in translation (French-English-Italian) in Brussels, and spent 3 months in Scotland as an Erasmus student. I recently graduated with a Master's degree in translation in France.

I am a friendly, open-minded and very (sometimes too much ?) honest person. I sometimes enjoy having serious conversations, but don't worry, I have a good sense of humour and laughing is one of my favourite activity :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

As I said before, I love to discover new places. What I like the most about travelling is meeting new people, whether they are locals or other travelers, and hear their stories. I believe every country has good sides and bad sides, and it's always enriching to learn about someone else's culture.

I haven't had the chance to couchsurf yet, but I hope I will soon get to do it !
Unfortunately, I cannot host as I live in a student residence and have to follow some very strict rules :(
But if you want someone to show you around the city, I would be a happy to be your guide ! Just send me a message a few days in advance as I am often away from home, and have to plan my transports in advance.

I mostly listen to pop-rock music and movie soundtracks, but I also enjoy other styles of music (rock, country, french music, electronic music,...). I don't really like rap and metal. My favorites artists (now) are Passenger, Birdy, Alice on the Roof, Coldplay, James Blunt, Genesis, John Williams, Hans Zimmer,..

I go to the cinema quite often as I like almost every kind of movie (except maybe psycho-horror movies). I mostly like non-commercial movies, science-fiction, British comedies, road-movies, thrillers,...

I admit to be a potterhead. I grew up with Harry Potter : I was 10 when I saw the first movie, then I read the books 1-4 and waited impatiently for the next ones... At 15, I went to buy the last book at midnight at my local library. I took me 6 months to read it as I didn't want it to end...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A few days after turning 18, I told my parents I was going to go to New-York, all by myself, for one week. Of course they were a bit worried, but this was one of the best week of my life !

This summer, I did a 40-day rail-trip around Europe, alone with my wheelchair. I visited 20 cities in 14 different countries. I now have everlasting wonderful memories of this trip, thousands of pictures and hundred of stories to share.

I would like to learn Spanish, and maybe Russian. Actually, I'm interested in every language. I can teach you a bit of French or Italian if you want :)
