About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Science!

ABOUT ME

I am an energetic and easy going person, and I am always up for meeting new people, exploring new places, and learning about new kinds of music.

I really enjoy live music at small venues, black coffee, fun parties and a good micro-brew. I am always looking for these things when I travel too, along with local food!

I am one of the founding members of the Bike Peoria Co-op, and I play banjo in the friendly neighborhood bluegrass band: New Cats on the Block.

PHILOSOPHY

its better to have to leave when you want to stay, then to have to stay when you want to leave.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have enjoyed couchsurfing while on road trips through the U.S, and I have met many CSers while traveling abroad.

I have also hosted a number of times in Atlanta and Peoria.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done a number of road trips in the U.S. and I always have a great time surfing and meeting other couch surfers.

During the 2010 Tour de Blim: "Southern Hospitality Bus Tour" Car Tour I made it from Atlanta to Austin and back in 3 weeks and hit 6 other spots along the way. For the 2011 Tour de Blim: "Some Beach, Somewhere, some Blim" feat. Jimmy Buffett I made it down to the southernmost point, and hit 7 other spots in Florida. On the Tour de Blim V: The Unexpected Adventure I found 6 couches plus some awesome camping throughout Arizona and southern California. I can't wait to see where future road trips will take me!

Interests

Bikes & bluegrass, technology gadgets and random science facts, fun hats, jazz piano, traveling (drrr), yelling at Bill O'Riley on fox news, and any bar with live music and PBR.

Music, Movies & Books

I love all kinds of music from Hall & Oates to Lady Gaga to Herbie Hancock to Bone Thugs to Kieth Urban to Spoon to TLC to Flatt and Scruggs to Dexy's Midnight Runners. Really.

Movies and Books are ok too.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I was on the solar car team at Ohio State and it took us 4 years to finish our first vehicle. I was team leader when we finally finished the car and I got to drive it on the racetrack during the Shell Eco-Marathon competition in Fontana, CA! Probably the coolest thing I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everywhere I go I carry a hard drive so I can share music with my friends! (don't tell the record companies).

I also like to learn about new cities, foods and musics.

Countries I've Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Uruguay

Countries I've Lived In

United States
