ABOUT ME

I'm not really sure what I should call my home town. I grew up in Nova Scotia, but left when I was 17, and have been living in different places throughout the country since then. I haven't found a place that feels like home yet, but I've met some fabulous people, learned a lot, and had a lot of fun.

I just moved (Jan. 13, 2011) to Perth, Australia, to go to school. My jet-lag is on the way out, and I'm looking forward to getting out and meeting people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My best friend has been singing this sites praises for quite some time. Although I have almost always lived in communal/ shared housing, which inevitably involves couch surfing, this is my first formal introduction to the CS project. All I can say is I thank my lucky stars for all the people who have put me up in the past, and my friends always have a place to stay....what goes around comes around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent six weeks couch surfing with my Giant Schnauzer in September and October of this past year. Everything that could go wrong with my travel plans, did go wrong; they didn't make kennels big enough for him, the custom built kennel wouldn't fit through the doors of most planes, because the kennel was so heavy it needed to have fork lift things on it and why hadn't anyone thought about that etc...

What should have been a god awful experience was actually pretty great because I got to hangout with awesome people. But it would have been dismal if there weren't people willing to put us up.

p.s. The dog stayed in Canada

Interests

driving with the windows and down and the music up, a couple of bottles of red wine with good friends, swimming in oceans I have never seen before, hiking in places I couldn't have dreamed up.
