About Me
I grew up in Ireland, but have lived and studied in Germany for 10 years, with some breaks in Norway, Scotland and Spain in between.
I love to travel and meet new people.
I enjoy outdoor sports such as kayaking, cycling, hiking.
Came back from a year-long trip around Southeast Asia-New Zealand and Japan two years ago. Next trip is taking the bike up to Iceland this June!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet other travellers or people who are new to a city.
To meet locals who can tell me interesting stories and give an insiders view to their country.
To make travellers feel welcome in whereever it is I'm living at any giving time, and help them get their bearings in a new place.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I'm not big into films. Spontaneously I would say my favourites that I've watched recently were: Pans labyrinth, Coraline, Everything is Illuminated, Cloud Atlas. But Ive seen plenty of other good films that I forget the names of.
Music: Alot, mainly forms of rock, traditional Irish, folk rock, lately also leaning towards variants of jazz, post rock.... Some bands; Pink Floyd, Mushroom (the 70s Irish progrock band), Altan, Clannad, Led Zeppelin, Cat empire, Alan Stivell, Damanta, Dervish, Telen Gwad, die Schnitter, Colour Haze, My sleeping Karma, Fiddlers Green, Jethro Tull, Mike Oldfield, Cranberries, Wishbone Ash, Wolfe Tones, and plenty of others that I've temporarily forgotten about.
Books: Generally fantasy books, psychology (Jung), Travel literature, Calvin and Hobbes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking northern Norway in summer.
(Setting up my tent at two o'clock at night with the sun still shining)
