ABOUT ME

I'm crazy passionate. I love talking about what makes us all connected. I can't live without books. I adopt people. My home is full of kids, dogs, and philosophers most of the time. We slip between chaos and sublime. I love music of all kinds but particularly reggae and world beats.

PHILOSOPHY

I love the idea that we receive from life what we put out into it. That while all sorts of things are out of our control, with love, humor and patience almost any situation can be positive in the long run.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new to couch surfing and mostly I'm trying to find spaces to stay so I can do the work in Denver I need to do without uprooting my family from SLC. I'd like to look at hosting surfers in our crazy house though!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none yet. :) At least through this network, I've traveled a lot though and have crashed in various homes all over the world. I find that staying with people from an area gives you a wonderful window into the real soul of a place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a trained philosopher, anthropologist, theologist. I do community organizing and I'm committed to peace and justice work. I'm a feminist and have loads of theory books, lectures and notes to share. I love conversation. I've taught at University and at free schools like Occupy. Education is as much about the books as it is the heart. I've gone on retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh and with quakers in Ireland. I teach meditation and mediation.
