ABOUT ME

Well I'm Emily. Friendly and easy-going they say, from Cyprus (yes, that sunny island). After a few years in France and the UK I decided to embrace the randomness that seems to follow me everywhere, so I started travelling more extensively.
Will I meet you somewhere along the way? Let'€™s see.

PHILOSOPHY

We can'€™t help but wonder how much difference one person makes in the world. We look inside ourselves questioning if we have the capacity for heroism and greatness. But the truth is, every time we take an action, we make an impact. Every single thing we do has an effect on the people around us. Every choice we make sends ripples out into the world. Our smallest acts of kindness can cause a chain reaction of unforeseen benefits for people we've never met. We might not witness those results, but they happen all the same.

While I dance I cannot judge, I cannot hate, I cannot separate myself from life. I can only be joyful and whole. That is why I dance.

No what ifs.

Why not?

Never fight an inanimate object.

And remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Couchsurfing helped me meet a handful of people that are now like family to me!

兴趣

Dancing makes me feel truly happy and whole. Ballet, jazz, salsa or simply the Macarena€! By myself, with friends, with strangers, in my room, on stage, in a club, on the street .. any chance to dance is a good chance!

I love singing and I'm always up for a jam with friends and new people.

I have adopted the "Why not?" philosophy, so unless I find a valid reason not to try something new (such as, "We're gonna die!"), I go for it :)

Languages fascinate me because studying them makes you discover a whole world of other people, cultures, philosophies and possibilities.

..And somewhere along the way, travelling became a part of me too. And you know what they say, once the travel bug bites there is no known antidote and I know I shall be happily infected until the end of my life :)

Movies: Any movie that will stay in my head days after watching it..any movie that will have an impact on me (not that will scare the c*ap out of me!). I particularly enjoy Wes Andreson movies.

Music: I'€™m a lot into acoustic and indie folk music these days. Other than that, I listen to pretty much everything: reggae, bossa nova, blues, jazz, funky, rock, electronic, salsa, indie rock, pop and much more depending on my mood and company!
