ABOUT ME

well, i'm 23 years old and having a great time. I am currently a nursing student at FIU and i love learning about what i'm going to do in order to help my fellow humans heal with the cleanest vibes i can possibly radiate towards them..with nothing but love and compassion and optemisim for the future. I am extremely active and love outdoorsy things, like kayaking, bike riding and hiking (where ever available anywhere BUT miami). I love the warm weather but i dont mind the cold when i'm prepared and i'm usually excited to do anything new and adventourous. i must say, i'm not really a "clubber".. my idea of great times are hanging out on the beach at night with a couple bottles of wine and a few good friends playing guitar...i do however like going out to the few cool..and not obnoxiously trendy bars in the city..take for example Tobacco road, which happens to be the oldest bar in MIA. I also love this place called Transit Lounge... like i said..not obnoxiously trendy with a decent booking record of good live music. Thats another thing... music is my love in this world. i owe much of my knowledge on that subject to many of my friends..as i believe everyone does...sharing new music to be played as the soundtrack of our lives makes everything more exciting, interesting, and happy. i have amazing friends... who give me an incredible peace in this world and my heart is at peace simply knowing that there are people in this world like them. i love learning about new cultures and try to absorb as much as i can from new people i meet. i dont like regretting things...so i dont regret much (it takes much more energy than to simply grow from the experience). i have 3 cats, one of whom is my soul mate (seriously)and his name is Elwood, and a dog. I love the fact that the beach is essentially in my back yard, and that i grew up in such a tropical climate. my family is the shit...they're Loud and Jamaican... and genuinely good people...hmm what else.... oh. i think you should laugh genuinely every single day (its good for the soul).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've actually only had one couch surfing experience...which was this past weekend in Rotterdam, Holland when i was there for the INCREDIBLE North Sea Jazz Festival...my friend Nadina was a member of this ridiculously wonderful community and i thought it was one of the most heady and awesome ideas that was ever thought of...so i joined.

Interests

oh jeez.... everything i said in the "all about you" box... music, exercise, outdoor activities.. OH, one thing i didn't mention in particular was that i LOVE picnics by the water... picnics in general make me happy..umm... and there is NOTHING more i'd rather do than go see a good show of the musicians i respect and admire with people i dig... that list o' artists is too long to type.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmmm... once i saw open heart surgery. it was ACTUALLY AMAZING for those of you who aren't into that kind of stuff.. the human body is a beautufully orchestrated system of cells that create the beings we are. its a great feeling to know that although we are only human, we are truely flabbergasting creatures.
