Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After graduating college and working in my industry for the past four years I began to develop a lust for something new. I knew something had to change, and while I was in dealing with the should I/shouldn't I, the company I worked for decided that indeed, I should.
After dreaming of travel for years, it would seem that my desire would soon be tended to. I had recently been laid off, and I suddenly found myself with time on my hands and a reason to make a change in my life.
I am very interested in meeting new people and I think Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to bring together like minded individuals who are willing to help each other along the way.
I am excited to see the change coming my way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Personally, I have not been apart of the Couchsurfing life style, but I do appreciate its use. I look forward to becoming a wiley veteran of the website and plan on helping out whenever I can.
I have friends that have used the websites services in Europe and across the United States and have had nothing but positive things to say.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any book written by Hunter S. Thompson, Chuck Klosterman or Kurt Vonnegut. You got me, babe.
Music wise, I grew up listening to ska/punk/reggae, but have grown to appreciate all musics from all walks. If you want to win me over, you'll play anything influenced by Bob Marley and the Wailers.
When it comes to cinema, I am a sucker for anything that relates to real life scenarios.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my internship with The Hockey News magazine I was given the opportunity to interview the Boston Bruins in the visiting locker room at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Despite having questions ready, I was dumbfounded by the gargantuan size of 6'9 Slovak defenceman Zdeno Chara. It was an experience I will never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
The ability to Couchsurf in a different country is so appealing. Being able to stay in a local's house is a learning experience you wouldn't get from shuffling from hostel to hostel.
