Had a great time with my first surfing experience and just had my first hosting experience, which was awesome and looking forward to more adventures!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music that's passionate and with solid rhythms and poignant concepts. Everything from more obscure stuff like early punk/garage gospel (Undercover) to apocolyptic (Godspeed! You Black Emperor) to African jams (Fela Kuti) to nerdy lit rock (One Ring Zero) to three-penny opera (Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya) to more well-known pioneers (Beastie Boys, Pink Floyd).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessing a mind-blowing passage of bird tornadoes totaling over 500,000 vultures and hawks during a 2-hour period from an abandoned canopy platform along the Atlantic coast of Costa Rica during the fall of 2008.
