About Me

I grew up in a small village in the east of Turkey with only about 200 people. These days, I’m living and working as an emergency medicine doctor in Kızıltepe, a town near the Syrian border. After finishing my medical degree in İzmir, I returned to this region to start my professional life.

I’m an easy-going person who prefers to keep things simple. I try not to overthink and enjoy life as it comes. I believe in making the most of every moment — that’s why traveling, learning, and experiencing different cultures mean a lot to me.

I consider myself open-minded and curious about people and their stories. I value nature, honesty, kindness, and all the beautiful things in life that money can't buy.

If I don’t have a special reason or a tight schedule, I’d be more than happy to host you. And even if I can’t host, I’m always open to meeting up, sharing a conversation, or showing you around.

Feel free to reach out to me for anything.

PHILOSOPHY
“No matter how you get there, or where you end up, human beings have this miraculous gift to make that place home.”
– Creed Bratton 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Same reason as most people here: I love connecting with others while traveling. For me, it’s not just about visiting places, but about understanding local cultures, food, traditions, and daily life through real people.

I also love sharing my own culture and stories with travelers who are curious about this region. Whether it’s over tea, a walk, or a place to sleep — I’m happy to be part of someone’s travel story.

So here I am — working, living, and always ready to meet new people from around the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

As a medical doctor working in emergency medicine, I’d be happy to share what I know about health, basic first aid, and how things work in a hospital setting — especially in a busy and sometimes under-resourced environment. Of course, I won’t turn it into a lecture, but if you’re curious about how emergency care works, or what it’s like to treat patients in challenging situations, I’d love to talk about it.

Besides that, I can also teach you a few useful phrases from my native language, show you how to prepare a simple traditional tea, or talk about what everyday life looks like in the region where I live. If you're interested in learning about a culture that blends different influences from East and West, I’d be glad to share.

I’m always curious about how people live in other parts of the world. I’d love to learn about your culture, traditions, and how healthcare or everyday life works in your country. Even the small things are interesting to me.

Good conversations, long walks, music, food, stories, and laughter. I believe that the best things in life are the simple ones we share with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversations, positive energy, and a respectful presence. I'm always happy to listen, exchange stories, and learn about different ways of living. If you're interested, I can also share some insights from my experience as a doctor — from funny moments to tough ones — and talk about how healthcare works in different settings.

I love going on walks, exploring places together, or just sitting down over tea or coffee. I’m not a great cook, but I’d love to help out in the kitchen or try something new with you. And of course, I’ll always clean up after myself and respect your space and rhythm.
