ABOUT ME
When I am travelling, I like to move, to be outdoor and I like exploring unknown areas with the GPS, even when this sometimes results in an unconvinient day. Staying a longer time at the same place is not what I am seeking for.
Hamburg is still one of my favourite towns. It is a good place for living and working. The area arround, northern germany, is my home: I love the water, the coasts, the flat wide country and it's smaller towns: Husum, Schleswig, Wismar or Cuxhaven.
I always try to find the good locations. This could be a quiet place with a view, an afield meadow nearby a lake for my tent, a farmer's cafe with selfmade pie or a campsite above the coast. In towns I made my best experiences with smaller locations, off the well known tourist attractions. Here you can meet natives, often the food has a higher quality and these places are seldom overcrowded so you can have a relaxed drink while enjoying the view or the local enviroment.
GPS, mobile phones and the weatherforecast are my friends because they afford me to do really good excursions. So I spent a lot of time in front of my computer to study digital maps and plan my trips either for a day, the weekend or for holidays.
I am doing warmshowers too: https://www.warmshowers.org/users/cyclone

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer my couch to two kind of people: To the ones with less money because this is their chance to travel. And to those ones who prefer getting tips from a local and then explore the area by their own instead of doing the commercial consumer sightseeing thing (which you always can do in a second run, if plan A did not worked as you expected).

Teach, Learn, Share
I have a very good knowledge about cycling in northern germany (between Flensburg, Ülzen, Bremen and Wismar). I know many towns, the ways between them and a lot of places in the country side like cafe's and restaurants.
