About Me

In Spain as an au pair and absolutely loving it. Super into health, food, and culture. Currently in my hiatus between school and working. Graduated with a degree in nutrition and on the path to being a dietitian. I have a serious love affair with the Spanish language and all things associated with it from Mexican tacos to Costa Rican bachata to dancing Sevillanas.

I was born and raised in Texas so I know a good barbeque and two-step when I see it. However, I'm from the big city, which means I'm not a cowgirl and have never owned a horse. You will find that I have the Southern Hospitality, though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Saved the last month of my student visa to travel. My best friend from Texas booked a roundtrip through Barcelona during part of this time, so we have 2 weeks to explore Europe together.

We want to make the most of every single day and think staying with locals is the best way to do just that--eat the best food, visit the coolest places, learn a bit of culture, and avoid those pesky tourist traps.
