About Me

Hello there whoever is reading this,

This did say current mission but mission feels a bit war-esk. So I'm going to answer: What are you doing with your life?

Good question, I'm not really sure. I'm currently in Togo in West Africa and about to fly to South America for an unknown amount of time. I've just finished studying an amazing degree in Human Geography in which I specialised in theatre and philosphy. I know doesn't sound linked but I promise it is. I was planning to work in international development but now I'm unsure about that route so taking some time off to travel, meet people, meditate, read, dance, listen to music and take in the beauty that is life. So I guess I'm not really 'doing' anything with my life just trying to stay as present as possible and discover all that the world has to offer.

Now onto what I do with my days:

I have a blossoming love for poetry, I collect records (mostly psychedelic rock, afrobeat, jazz), I love reading and philosophy , I love spending time with friends and meeting new people. I remind myself daily of Nietzsche's Eternal Recurrence to keep myself motivated but I am also exploring my spirituality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Coach surfing to meet new people and fulfill this ridiculous opportunity to meet people from all over the world. People often hark back to the 60s/70s as the best time for travel but with the ease of meeting and sharing life with people nowadays I really think now i

" Everything is the same, the fog says ‘We are fog and we fly by dissolving like ephemera,’ and the leaves say 'We are leaves and we jiggle in the wind, that’s all, we come and go, grow and fall’ — Even the paper bags in my garbage pit say 'We are mantransformed paper bags made out of wood pulp, we are kinda proud of being paper bags as long as that will be possible, but we’ll be mush again with our sisters the leaves come rainy season’ — The tree stumps say 'We are tree stumps torn out of the ground by men, sometimes by the wind, we have big tendrils full of earth that drink out of the earth’ — Men say 'We are men, we pull out tree stumps, we make paper bags, we think wise thoughts, we make lunch, we look around, we make a great effort to realize everything is the same.’”

A wonderful quote from Jack Kerouac's Big Sur which is an astonishingly beautiful book.

"Something in the world forces us to think" Deleuze

" think of responsibility as response-ability: the ability to respond to life, people and events." Arendt
