Currently in Bolivia.

Travelling since November 2022. After exploring Southeast Asia for 6 months and enjoying summer in Europe my boyfriend and I are heading to South America. First stop: Peru!

My boyfriend and I quit our jobs, gave up our apartments and sold most of our things to travel as long as we feel like it and the money lasts. Our trip started in the Philippines. We stayed in Asia until mid May. Now we are excited to practice our español in South America.

Our travel style is a bit slower than others. We like to spend some time in a country in order to better understand the culture and people. Before our travel Daniela worked as a Research Scientist for a University in the field of applied psychology and Joris was a Business Analyst for the Dutch government.
We both like to experience new things, meet new people. Outdoor is where we want to be active, for example diving and hiking. As most people, we also love food and are always up for trying new goods. We both enjoy the small things in life and are easily happy. We just finished a 10-day meditation course (Vipassana) which helped us to enjoy life even more and appreciate the present moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are travelling for quite some time and actually did not set a end date yet. For us couchsurfing is a great way to meet the local people and their stories of the countries we visit.
