About Me

Bryan here 🤙🏼 Living in Thailand and calling this country my home for the past seven years.

Been working in schools as a teacher for quite a few years (during which I wasn’t as active here on CS) - loved it but also saw the ugly side of Thai educational system. I value education highly and see it as a foundation of everything. I don’t refer to degrees but to principles of education. This is where Thai educational system and me fell apart. I’ve seen enough and stressed enough.

I decided to look for other ways to influence, leave my mark.
I pushed hard and since Universe works in miraculous ways it opened a door I was looking for but where I didn’t expect it - door which now allows me to have more flexibility and control over my time, exploring nature, traveling, learning about new cultures and being more present here on CS..
And I cannot be more grateful for all that 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Basically haven’t been ‘home’ since I moved to Thailand..
What is home actually?! For me it’s where the heart is - and my heart is in Thailand.
If you ask me where I’m from - I’ll tell you I’m from the Universe. Might sound silly but this is how I see and feel about life - based on my experiences, books I’ve read, and even mushrooms. I don’t feel I belong to any specific place - like I’m from everywhere and nowhere.
And that place I’ve been brought in.. Don’t feel it as part of me anymore so find it irrelevant to be mentioned.

It’s been like this for few years now and been telling the same to everyone meantime.. Some people get curious, others look at me weirdly.. You don’t have to understand - see it any way you wish.. Only thing I ask is to respect the way I see (my) life.

No country, no religion, no age, no birthday. Detachment.
I believe in energy, frequencies, attraction. I normally lead myself by energy. Energy, nature - beyond all else for me.
My religion, if you wish.

I’m quite talkative, especially around right energy.
Super curious as well so if we meet in your country get ready to be asked bunch of questions :D
I learned lots over years and happy to share the knowledge I accumulated but also well aware there’s no end to learning so always willing to embrace more. I’d also describe myself as open-minded and adventurous indeed (especially around nature).

P.S. my brand new passion - Surfing! 🏄‍♂️

~ PHILOSOPHY ~

"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds!" B.M.

Anything is possible. ‘I cannot’ doesn’t exist - only ‘I can’ and ‘I do not want’. Nothing happens by accident.

LIVE!
Be present.
Be grateful!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I adore meeting new different people and cultures!
Firstly, I made a profile when I wanted to go with my friend to Berlin for NY, then I realized that this is a perfect way to get to know the country's culture. This kind of traveling brings you a lot in every sense, not just free place like many think.. You indeed realize how amazing it is when you experience it!

Interests

Languages, working out, volunteering, cooking, nutrition, meditation, reading, taking photos, hiking, trekking, swimming, table tennis, football, watching sports..
I’m all about outdoors, exploring the wonders of nature, enjoying the sun and wind.

Big fan of Manchester United!

Music, Movies, and Books

Bob Marley, classical music, Pink Floyd, Green Valley, Macaco, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Radiohead, 70's, 80's - to name just a few I respect the energy of.
Overall anything with piano/guitar or with good energy and meaning/lyrics that vibe with me. Music is for me more about energy and less about genre.
If I must point out one artist that’d definitely be Bob Marley - learned a lot through his music.

H. Hesse: Der Steppenwolf - this is the first book that actually influenced me from within..
But I was never a bookie, barely read any books.
I actually disliked reading but in recent years I realized it was less about disliking and more about the books that were forced upon me through school and such - which were not my type of energy. So in recent years I got more opened to reading, found my vibe and now reading is indeed part of my life.
Books mainly around personal development - mindset, spirituality, psychology, business. And lately history/evolution.

Some of those that influenced/taught me the most:
R. Byrne - Magic; E. Tolle - Power of Now; M. Singer - Surrender Experiment; D. Gikandi - Happy Pocket Full of Money; C. Voss - Never Split the Difference; Y. Harari - Sapiens.
