ABOUT ME

A traveling philosopher/musicman once told me under the bridge in Vondelpark (Amsterdam) that he senses that many rivers run through me. I also like theories, formal and of the everyday. I have a regal purple zafu cushion on which I practice non-doing. I love tall trees, a bevy of them. I like inner and worldly explorations, love dancing and moving. I savor my connections with other people in ways that renew and expand.

PHILOSOPHY

The heavy is the root of the light.
The unmoved is the source of all movement.

Thus the Master travels all day
without leaving home.
However splendid the views,
she stays serenely in herself.

Why should the lord of the country
flit about like a fool?
If you let yourself be blown to and fro,
you lose touch with your root.
If you let restlessness move you,
you lose touch with who you are.

I travelled with a friend to Tibet and shot the footages for a documentary about a monastery-owned school and their yak cheese factory.

I teach yoga and meditation. I blues dance, do contact improv, crochet, make paper flowers. I am absolutely enamored with the Meisner acting technique, and am up for Repetition anywhere anytime. I'd like to learn about you. Sharing spaces is fun.
