About Me

Hey there! Our names are Bonnie and Cameron. We are a 24 and 25 year old couple that started our adventure through the Americas on the 26th of April 2017. From Buenos Aires we made our way through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and Mexico. We are about to head into the United States for the last few months of our big 1 year journey!!

Cameron and I are both hospitality professionals, together we have worked in several different business back home from nightclubs to cafes and even one of Adelaide's most recognised restaurants which is actually how we met. We both love to cook and experiment with new dishes and explore different food cultures!

We enjoy many different outdoor activities! We were privileged enough to experience many of what the world can offer.

We are quite an adventure seeker, we love to travel and explore what new countries have to offer. We're both pretty easy-going, cheerful people who enjoy company but are also happy to be left alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason for us being on couch surfing is to get an in-depth understanding of the place we are hoping to be hosted at! We have had 2 experiences with couch surfing and they have been far more valuable to us than any hostel/research of that current place. Being able to engage with a local and get an understanding of the place is absolutely amazing and a great experience (let alone the great food spots). We are planning to finish off our last few months of our big long journey together in the United States and we hope to meet some of you! (:

We are also fairly new to CS (only discovered/even heard of it last year) but in the little experience we have had we're already hooked and cannot wait to be able to host people back home in Australia.

Music, Movies, and Books

Over the past 9 months we have become huge Reggaeton and Latin pop fans!
Other than that Cameron loves old school hip hop and disco and I really loves anything my dad puts on (first song
I ever sang was by Nick Cave)

WE LOVE MOVIES! EVERYTHING! But especially documentaries and movies that are based on real life events.

I read my first book in years last year and it was great: Marching Powder
Cameron on the other hand loves to read and always tries to get me to read books on finance and making money..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

4 things because we couldn't possibly just pick one

Machu Picchu
Acantenango Volcano
Swimming with whale sharks
Cycling down Death Road in Bolivia (Easily scariest thing I have done)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Together we have a real passion for food and cooking, whenever we're not working we're creating new dishes in the kitchen. We love to cook Asian inspired dishes with lots of chilli and spice and would be more than happy to prepare a meal or two for our hosts. We also both have spent the last 3 years working at one of Adelaide's best restaurants and have mastered skills in all areas that if relevant could definitely pass on to hosts.
