ABOUT ME
I live in Newberg but just graduated and got licensed as an RN so a move is in the works! Depends on where I can get a job. Hoping to move back to Eugene :)
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Please send me a request if you need somewhere to stay! We are available intermittently to host, and I would love to meet you for coffee and point out some of the nearby sights.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with couch surfers when I moved to Eugene while looking for an apartment. Great experience. All my hosts have been so kind and helpful.
I stayed with friends of a friend in Germany in 2008 - not through couchsurfing, but it was similar. Our hosts had an exchange student already, had taken in several American girls during the summer, AND took in an exchange student because he was not doing well at his original host's house. They were very inspiring and I hope to be able to help people travel and live someday.

How to cook grasshoppers:
Collect grasshoppers and place in plastic bag with a paper towel underneath them - keep for several hours and they'll "empty". If you want to, try feeding them a mixture of spices for a day or so before you cook them.
Cut off heads, legs, and also cut the very back of the grasshopper off. You can put the legs back in but they do indeed tend to stick in your teeth.
Heat oil in a pan on medium and put grasshoppers in. Add salt and pepper and any other spices you want. Cook till they start to turn red.
Serve and enjoy :)
